my worst date. May l never experience that energy again.

Hi Eucarl please approve this post for me, I'm just venting...... So there was this guy I matched with last week. Clean pictures, nice bio, and he had that soft "I cook and I listen" energy. The rare kind. We talked for 4 days straight and everything was flowing. He was funny, he asked questions, he remembered small things I said. I was actually excited. Like... I ironed an outfit. That's how serious I was. He said we should meet at a nice lounge. Not too pricey, not too cheap. I got there first and waited. He walked in 18 minutes late. No apology. Just "traffic was mad" and sat down. Okay fine, I can overlook that. Then he looks at the menu and says, "I'm not really hungry, I'll just take a soft drink." I had starved myself all day because I thought we were eating. I still ordered food anyway because I was already there. While we waited, the conversation just died. Every topic I brought up, he gave one-word answers or he was on his phone. Then out of nowhere he hits me with, "You look different from your pictures." Not in a cute way. In that slow, scanning, up-and-down way. I tried to laugh it off like "good different or bad different?" He just shrugged. Food came, I started eating, and he just stared at me. Then he goes, "You eat a lot for someone so small." I almost choked on my food. I tried to save it, I asked about his work. Worst mistake. He spent the next 12 minutes straight explaining how everyone at his job is jealous of him. No jokes. Just pure self-praise. Just when I thought it couldn't get worse, his phone rang. Right there at the table. He picks it up and says loudly, "Babe I'll call you back, I'm with someone." I froze. He hung up and looked at me like nothing happened. I asked who that was. He said "my ex, we're still cool." Cool enough for her to call you babe on a date? Okay. At that point I lost my appetite. I asked for the bill. The waiter brought it, he looked at it, looked at me and said "I only had a drink, so I think you should handle this one." I was stunned. But I paid the full bill. Even left a tip because I refused to look broke in front of this man. As we stood up he had the audacity to say, "So are we going to your place or what?" I laughed. Not a cute laugh. That laugh you do when you're trying not to slap someone. I told him I had an early morning. He just said "okay cool" and walked ahead of me out the door. Didn't wait, didn't walk me to my car. Just disappeared into the night like a bad decision. I got home, deleted the chat, blocked him, and sat on my bed in full makeup just staring at the wall. The worst part? The next morning he texted me from a different number saying: "Last night was nice. When are we seeing again?" I didn't reply. I blocked the new number too, took a screenshot of everything, and posted it in the group chat with the caption: "Ladies, this is why we don't iron outfits for men we met online."
