My Husband Hates My Mother… I Just Found Out From His Chat

I recently gave birth last month, and my mother came to stay with us to help me take care of the baby. While trying to manage postpartum life, I accidentally saw a chat between my husband and his elder sister. In the chat, he was complaining about my mother. He said that ever since she arrived, “the house scent has changed,” and that she has a strong body odour. He also said he feels uncomfortable letting her carry and care for our son. He even mentioned that he can't wait for her to leave. His sister responded by laughing and making a comment about “what does he expect from a village woman,” and he agreed that he prefers to keep his distance from her. Reading that broke me. This is my mother—someone who came to help me after childbirth. Now I feel angry, disrespected, and confused about how to handle this. I don’t know whether to confront my husband immediately or stay calm for the sake of peace in the house. What would you do if you were in my situation? Should I talk to him about it or ignore it for now? I will be reading the comments. Thank you.
