My Husband Divorced Me After Just 2 Months of Marriage — I’m Still in Shock

I met my husband last year. We dated for some months, and everything seemed fine between us. Eventually, we got married early this year. But just three weeks into the marriage, everything started changing. He began complaining that he didn’t like me anymore. He even said there were other girls who really wanted him, but he chose to marry me instead. Then he started bringing up his ex, saying he still loved her and that she was the one he truly wanted. From there, things got worse. He began verbally and emotionally abusing me. He would call me lazy, say I can’t cook, that I’m not attractive, and constantly compare me to his ex while insulting me. I tried to sit him down so we could talk about what the real problem was, but his response broke me even more. He said clearly that he doesn’t like me anymore. A few days later, he travelled and sent me back to my father’s house. When he got there, he told my parents things about me that weren’t even true. I was completely heartbroken and confused. Not long after that, he sent his people to come and collect the bride price. Then I heard the most shocking part — he said he is going to marry his ex this August. I was honestly speechless. Why marry me in the first place if everything was going to end like this? Why go through a whole marriage just to treat someone like this? I’m still trying to process everything that happened. What do you think could push someone to do this? And what would you do if you were in my situation?
