My Mum Says My Husband Should Never Wash My Underwear

I honestly don't know whether this is a traditional belief I should take seriously or whether my mum is simply being overly protective. I am currently in a serious relationship, and our wedding is just around the corner. A few days ago, my mum sat me down for a heart-to-heart conversation about marriage and the things she believes I should know before becoming a wife. She gave me a lot of advice, but one particular thing has refused to leave my mind. She told me that I should never allow my husband to wash my underwear. According to her, when a man washes his wife's underwear, it can bring bad luck, setbacks, financial struggles, or even some form of backwardness into his life. She believes there are certain things a husband and wife should never do for each other because of traditional and spiritual consequences. I was honestly surprised because I have never heard this before. Personally, I don't see anything wrong with my husband helping me with laundry. If I'm tired or busy and he decides to help wash my clothes, I would actually appreciate it. To me, marriage is about being there for each other, and I don't believe helping your partner with housework should make anyone less of a man or woman. But now my mum's words are making me uncomfortable. What if this is a tradition I don't understand? What if she genuinely knows something that I don't? At the same time, what if this is simply an old belief that has been passed down through generations without any real basis? I don't want to disrespect my mum or ignore advice that could somehow affect my marriage. But I also don't want to enter my marriage afraid of every little thing simply because someone told me it could bring bad luck. So I'm genuinely confused. Is this a traditional belief in your family or culture? Have you heard that a husband should never wash his wife's underwear? And would you personally allow your husband to do it?
