My husband's Family is trying to destroy my marriage.
I have been married for some years now. I have three children, and I love my husband with everything in me. My mother-in-law is the type that wears her full church uniform every Sunday. She is at church on Thursdays too. Every morning she posts Bible verses on WhatsApp, and gospel music plays in her house all day. But her actions tell a different story. On my wedding day, she didn't show up. She said she was sick, but family members had already warned me that she swore she would never come. She is divorced. My father-in-law, on the other hand, is a good man. He has remarried, and he is the one who made sure my wedding happened. Today, my husband, our three children and I live in a rented apartment. I work in a shop. He is an admin clerk at a clinic right next to his mother's house, yet he barely provides. Meanwhile, he is busy building a big house for his mother and her other children. Many nights he doesn't come home. "I slept at Mummy's place," he says. His three sisters, aged 38, 28 and 22, all have children, and all the fathers of those children have left them. They are bitter. I feel like they want me to be as unhappy as they are, and my husband is giving them exactly that. Then last week, I found something in his phone. Nude pictures of a woman who lives two streets from his mother's house. Her messages talked about how well he satisfies her in bed. When he noticed that I had seen everything, he stopped coming home. He said he went to his mother's house "so I could calm down." This morning, I woke up angry. I knew he was at work, so I went to tell his mother everything. I got there and saw them sitting outside in their nightwear, laughing and drinking Coke. His mother, his sisters, and the same woman who has been sleeping with my husband. I just stood there. Nobody was ashamed, and nobody stopped laughing. I turned around and ran home. Right now, I am under my blanket, completely broken. I love this man. I don't want to lose him. How do I save my marriage?

This story is real, and many women have lived a version of it. If you've faced betrayal from a partner or his family, you're not alone here. Share what you did, what you'd do differently, or what advice you'd give her. Your words could help someone who is silently going through this. 💛
