My Wife Lost Her Mother, But Now I’m Suffering in Silence

I don’t know what to do anymore. My wife recently lost her mother suddenly, and I understand that she is grieving. Since then, I’ve taken over most household responsibilities while caring for our newborn and working. I hoped this would give her space to grieve, but our home has become filled with constant arguments. She insults me, starts fights, and treats everything I do as wrong. Sometimes she gets in my face and dares me to hit her. I have never laid hands on her and never will, but I’m emotionally exhausted. I know she is hurting, but I am too. I don’t want to leave because of our baby. I want to be present and involved in my child’s life, but I’m beginning to lose myself. I love my wife, yet I can’t keep pretending everything is fine while being insulted and provoked daily. Should I stay and hope things improve, or temporarily move out for my own peace of mind, even if it means spending time away from my newborn?
