The STD Scare That Changed My Life Forever

I don't think I've ever shared this before to anyone, but maybe someone out there needs to read it. A few years ago, I lived a careless s*xual lifestyle. I convinced myself that "nothing would happen to me." I ignored all the advice about protection, regular checkups, and knowing your status. Then one morning, I woke up and went to urinate. The pain that hit me was unbelievable. It felt like I was passing hot razor blades. I froze. I couldn't even finish urinating because the pain was so intense. Every trip to the toilet became something I dreaded. At first, I kept hoping it would go away on its own because I was broke. Things were already hard financially, and I couldn't even afford proper treatment immediately. I endured that pain for five long days, pretending everything was fine while silently suffering. Eventually, I dragged myself to a pharmacy. Between buying drugs and paying for injections, I spent money I honestly couldn't spare. Thankfully, after following the treatment, I recovered. But the experience left a permanent mark on me. That pain humbled me more than any lecture ever could. It made me realize that a few minutes of pleasure are never worth risking your health, your peace of mind, or your future. Since then, I've become that person who constantly tells friends to practice safe s*x, get tested regularly, and stop assuming "it can't happen to me." People sometimes laugh when I bring it up, but if they had seen what my eyes saw and felt what I felt... Wetin my eyes see then, my mouth no fit talk finish. I'm sharing this because I know many people are hiding symptoms out of fear, shame, or lack of money. Please don't wait until it gets worse like I did. Your health is worth more than any embarrassment. If this my experience makes just one person take their s*xual health seriously, then sharing it was worth it.
