I Was Supposed To Graduate, But One Decision Changed Everything
I’m typing this from a dark room after spending almost four hours scrolling through the I Internet, desperately searching for online opportunities because I honestly don’t know what else to do with myself anymore. Since 2024, it feels like one disappointment after another. I was supposed to graduate, but a missing mark delayed everything. I went back to school to sort out the pending issues, believing that once I cleared them, I would finally graduate and move on with my life. Little did I know that something much worse was waiting for me. At the time, I had two exams scheduled almost at the same time, and I panicked. I spoke to a close friend about the situation, and we came up with what I thought was a simple solution. I paid him to sit for one of the exams on my behalf while I handled the other. I knew it was wrong, but honestly, I convinced myself that people did things like this and that nothing would happen. I thought I was simply finding a way around a difficult situation. Looking back now, I wish I had just accepted the consequences of missing that exam. Things went badly almost immediately. While writing the exam, my friend accidentally wrote his own initials on the answer booklet before realizing his mistake. He tried to cancel it and write my name instead. Unfortunately, the examiner came around, checked the serial number on the question paper against the booklet, noticed the cancelled inscription and started asking questions. My friend initially tried to protect me by insisting that he was actually me, but the examiner was not convinced and said the matter would be investigated. Eventually, I was summoned before the faculty disciplinary committee, found guilty of impersonation, and expelled from school. That decision completely broke me. I went from preparing to finally graduate and start building my life to sitting alone in a dark room, wondering how one stupid decision could destroy years of hard work. I know what I did was wrong, and I’m not trying to justify it. But the hardest part is living with the consequences every single day. I have barely been myself since it happened, and right now I’m desperately searching for any legitimate online opportunity that can help me start again. I’m sharing this because keeping it all inside has become too heavy. Maybe someone reading this has also made one terrible decision that changed everything.
