My Father-in-Law Is the Biological Father of My Children

I am 30 years old and have been married for several years. When I first got married, my husband and I tried for a child for about a year without success. As time went on, the pressure became unbearable. My husband started blaming me for our inability to have children, and there were times I felt he was ready to send me away because of it. I felt lonely, rejected, and desperate. During that difficult period, something happened that I am not proud of. I became involved with my father-in-law. Not long after, I got pregnant. Everyone celebrated the pregnancy, including my husband, who believed the child was his. Years later, I now have five children, and my husband believes they are all his. But the truth is that he is not their biological father. The guilt has followed me for years. Every time I look at my children, I am reminded of the secret I have been carrying. Part of me wants to tell my husband the truth so he can know what really happened. Another part of me fears that revealing everything could destroy multiple lives, tear the family apart, and hurt the children who know him as their father. I know I made mistakes. Now I am left wondering if some secrets are better left buried or if the truth should finally come out. If you were in my situation, what would you do? I will be reading the comments. Thank you.
