I met this guy on Snapchat, and through
our conversations, we fell in love and started
dating. We talk about everything and often
make video calls. He’s visited my place
but I haven’t been to his. He wants me to wait
until he finishes his exams at UNIPORT before visiting his place. On my birthday, he made
me incredibly happy by spending the whole
day talking to me. He encouraged me to visit
my mom’s place, and while there, I continued
communicating with him. The next day, I had to go to Choba for some errands at my mom’s shop. I wanted to
visit him, but he said no because of his exam
the next day. I understood and continued
with my plans. Due to my busy schedule at
my mom’s shop, I couldn’t communicate with him much.

When I got home, I called
him, but he didn’t pick up, so l texted him.
Since then, I haven’t heard from him. He used
to say he couldn’t go a day without hearing
my voice. I’ve been calling and texting, but
no response. Today, he finally picked up. He sounded
different and didn’t greet me the usual way.
Instead of “hey baby,” he said “Yen Whats up,” and I heard a woman’s voice in
the background. He had told me he lives
alone. He quickly hung up and turned off his
phone. l’m confused and don’t know what
