My Borrowing Experience.....

I borrowed 500,000 naira from my childhood friend to help fund my business venture. We agreed on a repayment plan, and I promised to pay back within six months. Initially, everything seemed fine, and we would hang out like usual.

However, as time passed and my business struggled, I found it challenging to meet the repayment schedule. I requested an extension, but my friend refused, stating that he needed the money urgently. Our friendship became tense, and we started avoiding each other.

I felt guilty and stressed, knowing that I had put our friendship in jeopardy. I eventually managed to pay back the loan in full, but our relationship never fully recovered. I realized that borrowing from a friend can be risky and valuable lessons learned. Now, I’m more cautious when mixing friendship and finances.

  1. I think it’s in your hands to make the friendship work again, communication matters a lot…

Omo good friends are rare not to talk of ones who care about your financial growth .

  2. I’ll really like to know if the friendship hasn’t recovered cos you haven’t tried enough or because your friend doesn’t want it to, if you haven’t tried enough, then keep trying to reconnect with that friend, good friends ain’t easy to have. ❤️
