Good evening Eucarl community, I am a 28 years old female, I have been struggling with whether to prioritize my career or my family’s expectations. I come from a traditional background where women are expected to prioritize marriage and children over their own ambitions. However, I have always dreamed of pursuing a career in the arts.

I recently landed a job offer in a different city, which would require me to relocate and focus on my career. However, my family is pressuring me to stay close to home and get married soon.

I’m torn between following my passion and pleasing my family. I’m scared that if I choose my career, I’ll be disappointing my loved ones and risking my relationships with them.

I’d love to hear from others who have faced similar dilemmas. Should I prioritize my own happiness and career goals or put my family’s expectations first? Your advice would mean a lot to right now.
